Ayham's T-Shirt in Black - Australia Only
In January, 12-year-old Ayham from Dheisheh Refugee Camp created a powerful artwork titled ‘UN Tents’ in collaboration with the Made in Palestine team. We’ve since transformed his drawing into a limited-edition T-shirt, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting his brothers and sisters in their ongoing pursuit of education.
This powerful drawing depicts the enduring memory of the 1948 Nakba, when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were displaced from their homeland. Through different details, Ayham portrays people carrying water, washing clothes, and living under the constant presence of UN tents—symbols of both survival and loss.
"I draw what my family tells me, what I hear in stories. We remember the Nakba, and we dream of returning home." Ayham.
Made in Palestine’s first project of 2025 is dedicated to supporting Ayham’s family in Dheisheh Refugee Camp. Like many families within the Camp, this family faces significant financial and lifestyle challenges exacerbated by the pressures of military occupation, which disrupt daily life and limit access to basic resources. Recognising the transformative power of education, this initiative aims to ensure that the children in the family can continue attending school consistently throughout the year, despite these hardships.
