This bar of soap comes from Nablus, a city renowned for its centuries-old tradition of olive oil soap-making. For over a thousand years, families in Nablus have perfected this craft, producing soap that is as pure as the land it comes from. Made with 100% virgin olive oil, water, and natural soda, Nablus soap is free from artificial colours, perfumes, and additives — making it one of the world’s earliest vegan products.
Olive oil has been treasured in Palestine for its healing and nourishing properties. Rich in antioxidants and vitamin E, it soothes sensitive skin, restores natural moisture, and promotes gentle healing for dryness, irritation, and conditions such as eczema or psoriasis. Its natural antibacterial qualities help protect the skin, while remaining soft enough for everyday use on both face and body.
Each bar is cut and stamped by hand, dried naturally, and stacked in tall towers to cure — a method unchanged since the 10th century. From the historic workshops of Nablus, this soap undertook a long and difficult journey to reach so-called Australia, navigating restrictions and borders along the way.
